I just installed a headunit in my car. I had the stock one out for a couple of days driving around waiting for a part to come in for the new install and everything was fine. The part came in and i installled the headunit but had to wait for the mounting kit to come in so i just drove around with it sitting in the open space. I had no problems for the first day. I went to the store and unpluged the headunit and put it under my seat so you couldnt see it and when i came out and pluged it back in my Dashlights went out. I checked all the fuses in the car and all were still good. I think that the blub might have blown but i would think that the fuse would go first. Really dont want to take it to the dealer and dont feel like ripping apart the dash to repace a stupid bulb. Help

you've got a short somewhere in your electrical system. You'll just have to get a multi-meter and start probing.

where do i start probing? I know it was not the exact second i pluged it in that the light went out so is it stiil the same prob. Im under warentee so am i better off letting mazda deal with the problem or should i look for it my self. I am all about doing stuff my self and am pretty knowldgeable in most automotive things but hate getting over my head. Any help would be greatly appricated
