Post Catalytic Converters

I just got a 2003 Pro LX, brand new. Show room car... Right now all I have done is put a drop in KN filter.. Im looking to put on an entirely new exsaust system on it. Maybe pop on some more performance parts, like a Cold Air Intake and whatnot. Can you suggest a few products that are tried and true? Im no looking for a rice sound... more of a growl. Thank you!

Welcome to the club & I suggest doing a search. Everyone' s got their opinion, but you're just gonna get 'do a search' from everyone anyway. If you have a question about something more specific you'll get better responses.

If you've got the money, the Racing Beat catback will give you a nice, deep growl. Not too loud, not ricey at all. Pair it with the Injen cold air intake and you should be a happier person.

I agree with gcs118. I've done the CAI and axle back MSP exhaust, and am thinking about the RB cat-back. Throttle response is the biggest noticed improvement. Mid-range torque seems better, but I don't do 1/4 mile stuff so I can't swear on a stack of bibles. And like gcs118, I don't care for the blatty "two-stroke dirt bike" sound that most cantelope launcher tailpipes have. The MSP/RB systems are much more "mature" let's say.

Get a
Cold Air intake from Injen
An Axel Back exhuast atleast 2.5"
A Header that removes both cats & replace w/ a high flow cat..

You should defintely see some improvement!

acidbbg1 I do agree the header and no cats will yield decent power, but once the cats start disappearing it seems the car becomes more and more ricey. My AWR header took out the first cat and it is louder and less deep. If it wasn't for emissions here, I wouldn't care and I'd take out all the cats anyway
