Remove Side Trim

Has anyone managed to removed the side trim off their doors. You know, the black rubber-type plastic strip that runs horizontally along the outside of the door?

I want to take it off, but I'm worried their might be holes underneith. Does anyone know?

Also, if anyone has done this, if you can do a quick description of how you took it off, it would be great.

There are no holes underneath, they are taped to the car. Just take a fishing line, and run it under and all along the way of the strip. It comes right off. Then, get a good adhesive remover, and clean it up nicely. Also, since the paint on your car aged a bit, you might have the lines of them still be there, since the paint was not exposed to the environment. Also, you will make your car more prone to parking lot door dents. Thats why these were installed there for a reason.

P.S. Go to www.clubprotege.com This forum is dying, and almost all the folk with 95-98 Proteges are there.

Both forums are dead.
I'll bet there's more traffic in Paris Hilton's bedroom.
