RCA cables from HU to Amp

Hi ~

I decided to mount my new amp under the driver's seat. After some search in the forums, I found the way to route power cable from battery, the right ground spot and that I should use the stock speaker wires.

But what about the RCA cables from headunit to the amp ? Do I need to open the whole dash board to route them ?

Thanks !

It hurts to do it but if you have skinny/small hands you can hook up the wires without taking apart the dash. Attach the RCAs to the HU and then you just have to find the hole to feed them down. This is best to be done with two people and a flashlight. You can just pull up the side of the carpet to run it along the floor to the amp.

It all depends on howmuch diggin you want to do, I'd highly reccomend pulling your h/u and then dropping the rca's down behind it, if you take off the panel on the center of the footwell on the passenger side, you shoudl be able to feed them through there, then go under the carpet, take off the door-sills (just pull hard, they'll pop off) and run them back under the seat. if you dig deep enough, you'll notice that the brace that the seats are mounted on has a gap in the lower door-side where you can cleanly run rca's under it. As for speaker wires. I did a hot-to for pulling wire all the way through doors in a different forum. It's actually quite easy especially if you're doing new speakers anyway.

SHould only take an extra 30min per side, and ENTIRELY worth it for peace-of-mind alone...
