Exhaust questions

I just cut the **** out of my stock exhaust And I need help. I put a glass pack where my cat should be and cut off the big muffler. It sounds good at low R's but up in the power ban it sounds like ****. I don't know should i put a muffler on and if so what type.

HELP!!!

(sigh) I'm assuming next time you'll do your homework first!!! First off, are you sure you cut off the catalytic convertor? If it's in the middle of the exhaust then you cut off the resonator. You best bet now is to put down the torch, go to a Midas and have them throw on a midpipe with a "sporty" muffler. They do custom exhaust on just about anything. It's not performance exhaust, but it won't be chopped up like what you've got already.

Look I know what a cat is and i cut the cat off and left the resonator on. I don't care if it looks nice. i just want something more performance oriented that all.

you could try one of those mufflers that you can put a silencer in the tip.
