are the exhaust systems from the axle back the same on the P5 and the protege sedan? thanks in advance.

 

Exhaust systems for the two cars are not interchangeable because the P5 is shorter than the sedan.

but, is it possible to have yourself or a mechanic extend the piping so that the ehaust system would fit?

 

I imagine stretching the pipe would significantly weaken it. If you really want to do that, your best bet would be to cut and weld a new piece in.

 

i have an 03 sedan and i have the greddy cat-back on it that was maid for the p5 and it fits and works it just doesnt come all the way to the bumper at the back...but that works for me becouse then it looks like a sleeper...which is what im going for...yes it will fit but it will be a lil short, about 5 inches short
