Red face took my pro to the dealer and got lucky

i finally decided to take my Pro into the dealer to see what was the problem wiht it. the problem i was having was that it would down shift whenever there was an incline. And i couldn't got past 70mps. yea some crazy *** ****. was having this problem for months and months was about to lose my mind

So i took it into the dealer and they say it was a sensor problem and i have burned soemthing on it. not sure what(dad took it in for me i had school).

So they fix it and it came out to be 300 bucks(which is not bad at all). But i got lucky, hehe. see i bought a new cluster on my car and it had 15,000 mileage on it. so they assumed that it was under warranty. so i got everything FREE!!! yes people FREE!!! now she runs like a beast. thank god! lol

Ya know. Every once in awhile a dealership or some ******* will be browsing the forums and find people like you. Not trying to be a jerk, but if they saw this you would get one fat bill. And it has happened in the past, somebody gets a conscience, calls the dealership, dealership employee reads your post. I remember someone had to pay for a whole new engine because they posted something like you just did and an ******* called the dealership to report him.

hey, if u didn't have any real warranty work b4 this, then i say ur entitled to it. i always found it sucky how things would break right after the warranty exp and u never really got a chance to use it...

good job!

I'm not pissed at you. I'm telling you to think about what you are doing and not post on a forum when you got lucky at the dealership. Would you not be pissed if the dealership came back on your *** because they saw this?

Their mistake, so they couldn't make him pay for it. It's a done deal like when you sign the dotted line. IMHO, dealerships suck! Buying a car is one of the most unpleasurable events having to deal with some jerk off ready to rip you a new ******* just because he has to make commission and brag to the other guys on how much he fucked you out of the deal. Yes I have a conscious, but when it comes to these sharks, I say **** them all. If you can get one by them, more power to you bro! They always get one past us the consumer. Good salesmen and dealerships are far and between, so to all of the craps who screw other people, burn like pigs in hell!! A bit harsh there wouldn't you say?

I used to take care of inventory for a car audio shop. I got to work full time by taking care of inventory and by working the sales floor. I gave people the best deal they could get considering. If a chain like Sears was offering a better buy, I would refer them to Sears. Once I did so because the guy wanted a Kenwood unit, but didn't realize that our shop had a contract with the local sears at the mall until I told him. I saved him money. Other times people would by from me even if **** was cheaper elsewhere because of my honesty, and only once I had a real jerk who wanted a am/fm cassette for his boat. I showed him a Kenwood and recommended it over an Alpine because even with a splash shield, they won't last long on a boat, so save a little dough and settle for a Kenwood. Besides it is not a bad unit. His response was some people want the best so don't just assume we want something less. Fucktard's friend installed it, ruined the Alpine on the first outing, comes back raging in the store, talks to the manager, talks to the Alpine rep, and calls Alpine and bitches more and guess what, there wasn't a damn thing we or they could do for this guy. He got what he deserved! <--My response when finding out that!

What he did is get away with a fast one (and commited an act of fraud, which I don't really give a **** about to tell you the truth) and then go tell the whole ******* world about it. You have to be careful what you say, it's like robbing a bank and going on top of a roof and yelling to the world that you did it. I think most people can remember the Ford service employee that posted about ragging on some ladies 390HP Cobra while it was in the shop. You might also remember that guy got fired and the dealership got in an assload of trouble. Employees from the dealership I use have been on this board in the past, imagine if I hydrolocked my engine, they fixed it under warranty, and then they saw me bragging about it on a forum. They would send my *** one huge bill in a heartbeat. And sue your *** if you don't pay it.

Point being.. if the cat catches the canary it keeps its damn mouth shut so the bird won't fly away.

no man...my dad told him that i changed the cluster before hand...guess the guy didnt hear it. i have no attention to rip some dearship worker off. i didnt say i did it attentionally. i got
LUCKY. any ways the part was on a recall. i was told it was. so no matter what, i get it free. so dont make such a big deal out of nothing man. anyways if it was its not the customers fault at all. when u leave that dealership wiht us car. ev everything stands. they get paid for doing there job. and thats what they did.

1st MP3 mentioned a story that some one posted here or on msprotege about alluding the police and the cop happened to be a member I guess. Boy that would suck! Is Sadam Hussein on the board so I can collect some money? I sure could use it!

I see what everyone else is saying in your post. You where like you changed the cluster and got stuff repaired for free since you had under 60,000 miles so its still under warranty. I think that was the truth and all this other stuff is B.S. but oh well i dont care by the way what part was under recall?
