i was just wondering who here has an injen cai installed on their protege and what their reaction was. also tell me what kind of MP u have/year. thx i am very curious

i ordered the "jkl aero cold air intake" that comes with the fiber glass cover from www.streetstyler.com over a week ago so im hopin that site is legit and they'll send it. pz

 

I have a 2000 LX and had my doubts when I put in my CAI... I drove around city streets (30-35 mph) and was pleased. It sounded cool, but then took it out on the highway (70 mph) and about **** my pants!!! Very nice sound, and will sound better with a nice exhaust setup!

 

what about performance wise? did u notice a difference at all? if so, how much and btw do u have a bypass valve on urs and if so who's (AEM?) thx

 

I have an 02 P5. I love the injen...in my opinion its the best looking intake on the market.....as for performance...you probably wont' notice much out of ANY intake you get....no matter who makes it or how much it cost....you WILL notice some throttle response improvement but you only get a few HP out of an intake.

 

installed the injen cai about 2 weeks ago and with the msp exhaust it sounds like a sexy beast!

 

yep injen all the way, i installed it and dont regret buying it.
