well.. I'm back again.. and this time here to stay because well BMW's suck.. they are awesome drivers but not worth breaking the bank to fix them! I mean honestly.. anyway.. I need advice on my paint.. would it be worth it to repaint my 1999 Protege ES again classic red but this time with a clear coat over it. I hate having to wax my car every month especially on the hood to make it all shiny and be able to see myself in it. Its not worth it anymore and after having the bimmer which had a nice clear coat on it I couldnt imagine keeping the regular non clear coat on there.. but I was thinking only doing the body panels and none of the door jams or anything so they dont paint over important badges or anything.. what do you guys think? is it worth clear coating?

 

Go buy some zaino and spend one day every 4 months or so. Even with a clear coat you'll have to spend some time waxing. Spending any money for custom paint on a car like the protege isn't really worth it in my book. Especially for a good quality paint job.

 

i have zaino on it.. and it doesnt help.. i'll get some pics of my hood cause i just did it and then i'll take some more in a week and you can see.. its really crappy...
