Hey Robdoggz. I was the one who refered to to this site, I think. You have your ride on Sounddomain right? I'm p5Shawn on there. To remove the stock radio you can get the proper tools(forget what they are called) or use a properly modified coat hanger. Go to your local shop and tell them what you need and they will hook you up.

Reading from another post, i think they are called Ford Radio Pullers and you need two pairs, however it was done with one pair.

Correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure thats what your talking about. They help in pulling out the stock radio...

Yes they are FORD tools, but you only need one pair.

They are "U" shaped and have small ball hooks on the ends to lock and "pull" the radio out.

A coat hanger can work, but if the radio is really tight, the lack of ball hooks may leave you cursing....

Insert untill you hear and/or feel a click, ever so gently push the 2 tools outward (towards the doors) not too much, it only takes light pressure, then pull towards you. If you push them out too far, the plastic holes will get damaged and it will look like ****.

once the radio is out, you'll clearly see the tabs on both sides, push them in to remove the tool (if it's the ball hook type)

I got the pocket at a local car audio shop. They will be your best resource....go to one. something else to consider is that they can install your deck for like $30 and in less than an hour (mine was done in 35 minutes). If they break anything then you make then fix it for free. If you do it and scratch some of that expensive silver/carbon stuff then you are $300-400 in the hole and it will take you more than an hour more than likely. I think its good insurance and my time is work the hour it took them to install. Thats just my two cents and something to consider since you have to buy tools to do it anyways.

I have installed many-a-car-audio-system, but did not want to rip apart the dash in my new car and didn't want to risk gouging that plastic as I new it would be expensive.....and it is....I checked into getting a spare to make a mold in carbon fiber. My friend that works at the car audio, shop gets **** cheaper at the mazda dealership than their workers, and he could only get it for like $200....and thats why mine is not carbon fiber yet....
