One of the members of my band has a 91 MR2 non turbo.
I have a 02 ES. My car is stock he has a CAI.
There is a nice lil 1/4 mile strip near where i live by some empty warehouses so i decided i would finally do a 1/4 in my car and why not against a friend.
The first time my tires <need new ones, mine are pretty slick>
spun a bit too much and he beat me by about 3.5 cars.
Second time still too much spin but not as bad 2 cars behind, i figure his car is lighter hes lighter then i am and his car is a bit more powerful......checking engines real quick.....
his 2.2L 130 hp I4, mine 2.0L 130 hp I4
his 2626, mine 2634....huh i guess his weighs more then i thought.

not too bad i guess. This weekend Me James<MR2>,Tim<91 Escort> and David <03 Sunfire> are gonna go back out and have some fun ill tell you guys how it goes.

Forget that, do stuff to THEIR cars to make them slower!!

 

Considering they are friends and Band mates i dont think it wise to mess with their cars.

but a lil extra weight they dont know about would hurt would it?

 

The 5SFE engine in the MR2 turbo has alot of torque and the car has RWD too.
