No Heat ?????

Well, it's been quite cold for the last couple of weeks but this has been an on going problem. I have no heat coming thru the floor vents!

There is heat when I have it on defrost or dash vents, but nothing when on the floor vents. It's even worse when I drive on the highway cause the windows all fog up and there is cold air blowing into the car from behind the dash. WTF!

So, I've been thinking it's the heater core. Perhaps, the floor vent doors that are suppose to open to let the heat out are not opening at all. Has anyone ever accessed the heater core? If so, what's required to get at it?

I talked to a local shop and to access the heater core, they need to remove the entire dash to get at it. They told me its atleast an all day job to fix my problem.

A little too much money to spend on the luxury of heat.....

Something must blocking your vents down near the floor.

The heater box has doors which open when you switch the climate control to the floor vents. Suposedly, the linkage that opens the door is broken so the door isn't opening to let out heat.
