Get this, last friday I get a notice saying that I owe 69.95$ for not paying a parking ticket issued back in Nov. 25th '02. Their offices were closed until today, so I phoned today and they tell me that I have three more outstanding tickets.

Apparantly in total I got three tickets in the same parking lot and they were each for the amount of 32.00$ but I haven't payed them on time so now they're 69.00$ each, plus they wanted to charge me another 30.00$ for a ticket that I got but went in to dispute.

They agreed to cancel the last ticket (I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place) because I payed when entering the parking lot 4.00$ as the attendant charged me and on my way out there was no attendant left and all I had was an 8.50$ ticket on my window.

In the end, they lowered the other three tickets from the same spot to 32.00$ each, but I still don't want to pay 100$ for tickets that I never received. I did park there but only for half a minute each time as I ran into 7/11 to check my lottery tickets.

What should I do? What can I do? Should I just pay them? I always ended up paying all my parking tickets in the past if I ever got any, but these are just ridiculous.

My main thing is that none of the three times I actually got a written note on my car that I had gotten a ticket.

 

the FIRST thing I would do is STOP PARKING IN THAT LOT!! its obvious that if you didn't really get those tickets....that the lot is run by morons.....and you will only risk MORE tickets by going there......and if you are only using it to CHECK your lotto tickets...is it really worth it? are you hitting the lotto??? bet not.
