Ground Control Coilovers with ZX2 Tokicos??

I'm looking at getting some Ground Control coilovers and was wondering if anyone knows if they'll work with the ZX2 Tokico strut housings? I don't have my stock struts to compare the Tokicos against.

thanks
tom

Wil,
I notice GC list different models for stock struts and Tokico struts - can you ask your friend which model he's using? There's a set of coilovers on ebay right now at a good price, and if they'll work I just might go for it.

wil, are you talking about the top aluminum hat? if so, would you happen to know how to shave it down? when i installed my new struts, i had a prob with the GC's because the aluminum hat is too high, and you can't catch enough threads on the strut to bolt it. i called GC last week and they told me it was incorrect installation. i had 3 shops check 'em out, so i seriously doubt 3 shops would be wrong. i was thinking about getting some custom tops machined the next time i have to change my struts, since the GC's will be removed anyhow.

temrich, yeah the diameter of the perch is different. the regular perches are big enough for stock, sachs, boge, and gab HP struts. there's also a perch specifically for the tokicos. the ones on ebay are probably for the regular sized perch.

When I installed the GC sleeves on my front struts (or maybe the rear), the top piece is a octagon, and just slightly too big for the sleeve to fit over. I just took the corners off and it fit fine.

Are your sleeves all the way onto the stock perch?
