After Eibach adjustment?

Arrow After Eibach adjustment?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there is any adjustment required after installing Eibach Pro-kit.
I read on the papers inside the box and it said that: camber, toe-to-toe, and thrust agles may be require check.
I went to the shop to install it, and the man told me it was good the way it was, but I want to do the right thing 'cause I don't want to run tires every 3 months.

what you need to do is have the alignment checked....a four wheel alignment too....

The alignment and four wheel alignment are different things then.
One is horizontal and the other vertical alignment....

no....they are the same thing...I was just CLARIFYING my statement...

have a four wheel alignment performed on your car....they check all the things you mentioned...plus it ensures that the front wheels are aligned with the back as well.

Exclamation problems; I need help...

Guys, the other day, doing reverse...a parking bump stopped the car (didnt see it) and after that I noticed that in a rainy drive my P5 (with eibachs, stock rims) @ 40+ mph is not safely driveable (alingment problems maybe).

Yesterday when I stopped in my house I went to take a look at the wheels an noticed that the left rear wheel was 1/2 inch right turned (to the inside). So I went down the car and fixed that in the lateral link, but I can still notice that I can see more tire (watching for the back of the car) outside the bumper from that same wheel, compared to the left wheel...now the wheel has some vertical alignment problem. Is that what is called negative camber???

...how can I fix that? or if an alignmet job can fix this?

PD. Im not a mechanic, but I can handle some stuff...

No, no, no. Alignments come in 2 flavors, 2-wheel and 4-wheel. 2-wheel alignments are for vehicles with solid rear axles (i.e. rear wheels that can't be adjusted). No competent shop will do a 2-wheel alignment on a car with independent rear suspension like a Protege.

Both you and the guy who backed into the curb need to get 4-wheel alignments.

BINGO....

those are all the detail.......as suggested....both of you need a 4 wheel alignment.

Make sure that nothing else is bent. Tell the alignment guy what happened to the car and what was replaced. If the alignment is still out and he cannot adjust the rear then there is something else that is bent and must be replaced. He should be able to tell you this by verifying the alignment and shouldn't charge you for the adjustment if there is another bent part there.

Can't stress this enough, make sure nothing else is bent. And if there is .... take it to the dealer and have them replace it under warranty ... ( if it is not noticable to the eye) just do not tell them what you did.
