LOC adjustment
I'm running factory deck -> LOC's -> amp. But I was curious as to how others with this setup have tuned the gains on their LOC's. Right now I've got mine right in the middle- but I've gotta do some work in the dash soon and was wondering if i should crank those puppies up.

I have my loc set at max for both channels. I tapped into both rear speaker leads.
I played with different settings for quite awhile when I first got my sub. I found that the best combination of settings for me was to max the loc setting, which enabled me to go lower on the gain control on the amp.
The results you get will probably be dependent upon the quality of the loc and amp. The amp will amplify whatever signal you feed it. If the loc introduces distortion, the amp will just make it work.
I first tried sending a signal level signal directly to the amp's signal level inputs. I couldn't get the needed volume this way. The loc solved this problem even at the middle setting.
With my current settings, I get no turn on or turn off noise, even though the amp stays on when I turn off the factory head unit. Sound is great with upgraded speakers and the sub filling in.
Only thing I'm looking for is a bit more volume. The factory deck is not a power house. This shows up when I have the sunroof open and the noise floor in the car is increased. Thinking about a small 4 channel amp to get the most out of the replacement speakers,
