Lightbulb Hip-Hop & Jazz Thread

Hey,

post your playlists and suggestions.....

I've been listening to a lot of John Coltrane and Miles Davis lately. Also Mr. Scruff has a style that's a cross between the two(hip-hop & jazz). I also like listening to some St. Germain to relax (new age jazzy feel to it)......

Here's a few miscallenous tracks to check out.

Ugly Duckling- Just a Little Samba
Talib Kweli feat Xzibit & Hi-Tek- Down For The Count
Dilated Peoples feat Alkaholiks- Right On (that's where my sig is from)
Beatnuts feat Method Man- Se Acabo remix
Blackalicious- Make You Feel That Way
Das Efx- Real Hip Hop
Pharacyde- Running Away
Royce Tha 5'9"- Gun or Knife
Mr Scruff- Get A Move On
Jay-Z- Streets Is Watching

Give me some artists, or tracks taht have been 'slept on'
Maybe some more jazz suggestions? hip-hop?

Jazz is all right when it's just jazz...but I HATE hip-hop! I can't stand it! So maybe it has a good beat to dance to, but I'm not usually clubbing.

Just my 2 cents

Hehe no hard feelings. There's some genres of music that I'm not fond of (look up techno, trance and all the other variations of it).

I'd just like to point out that hip-hop is not really what you see or hear on the radio/tv.... there's much more to it, and that 'flashy' hip-hop (ex. look how rich I am, blah blah blah) is done by people who sell-out to the industry to make some money through mainstream fans. Anyways, any suggestions as far as jazz goes????

Yup, I like those last two, but I haven't heard the other two.

By the way, just to clarify, I can't stand the new Jay Z remake of Me and My Girlfriend.
First of all, 2Pac was talking about his gun, not about a girl in his song. Second of all, 2Pac nevre liked Jay Z and now this? Third of all, even if I was indifferent from the beginning, I wouldn't have liked this song from purely the sound stand point. Beyoncee doesn't flow nicely over it, and Jay Z just has a wrong voice for this type of song.
