Ractive intake from autotoys.com

under the details, it says that it is the adapter and filter only. Is this true, or do you get the intake pipe too. I it has the pipe too, is it a direct replacement for my intake (97 LX) or do i have to jimmy rig stuff to make it work.

Thanks.

The Ractive is by far a cleaner install , but the civic intake at times was louder , but the car reacts better with the ractive, I think maybe the air flows better, especially with the heat shield filter that I have on the car

for now the civic will do good, I just had fitment problems with mine , and I also messed it up trying to trim off excess pipe off of it ,,.. I may try an eclipse intake for the fun of it , although it is not cool wasting money ...

lol...yeah wasting money does suck...i like the way the intake looks in my car...dut i figure the ractive one might work better since its made for the car...how does the ractive sound compared to the civic one?? my civic one is 3 inches the whole way...when i give it gas you can hear it like "click on" and air gets sucked in...sounds badass...im wondering if the ractive will sound the same way...any difference in performance gains or nothing noticable??

I am planning on making a custom made one. Just get some measurements, and get it done without spending a lot of money on different types of intakes. I took off my stock airbox, and just put a cone filter on top of it. With the heat shield on, the intakes makes a really nice sound under full throttle. As the matter of fact, I was driving early in the morning in a nice neigborhood, and as I was coming off a stop sing and making a turn I start to accelerate well. Now the intake is loud, but I am only doing 15mph, and I hear a woman screaming at me to slow down! I though it was kinda funny, though since I do a lot driving in that area I took the shield off, but I sure do miss that throaty sound.

Yeah, here is my pic. As you can see it is nothing too big. Though one day, I will work on that custom CAI. I just do not have the time now, the school is way too hard this quarter.
