ya this works.... u can adjust it at the throttle body end too. i took off almost all the slack. i touch the pedal and the engine responds instantly.

Better response time can be good and bad, depending on preferences, and how much traffic your in,etc. Its great to have, and easily achieved, but the new response time will take you by suprise

You guys seriously want to do that? The extremely touchy throttle response off idle is one of my least favorite things about this car (97 ES). Combine that with the vague feeling clutch and FWD, and I am forced to slip the clutch waaaaay more than I like, just so I am not chirping the tires constantly (or bogging).

If anything, I would want to make it less sensitive. But that's me...

I doubt it would break, the throttle cable is storng enough to hold the butterfly open, if it breaks on you then you've got a defective cable and it should be replaced anyways. I don't know about auto's but it made a difference in mine, because when I got it, it had 150,000 km on it and had streched over time. There was probably a half inch of play in the cable. I tightened it up and because I didn't have that slack in the cable, it picked up alot faster. I did this in my friend's Accord, which is auto and he said it seemed to help, so I guess it would make a difference, especially with the kick down mechanism in the transmission.
