How-To's For Each Model

I really like the "How-To" forum. I'm not terribly sure how it works, but I would hope that it's moderated in such a way that the actual how-to postings and any addendums and other useful messages stay there permanently while postings to the effect that "I did this! It's great!" that don't really add any useful info are allowed to fall away after a while.

Anyhow, my suggestion would be that, rather than one How-To forum, there should be one for each model section. If I own a G3 Protegé, I'm not interested in how to get the bumpers off a G1. It'd be better if we were looking at a collection of How-To's that applied to our own cars.

It still might be a good idea to have a general How-To. There are, to be sure, a number of things that apply not only to any Mazda but to any car for that matter. A general How-To allows those to be posted without having to pick a model at random or cross-post to all models.

Yeah, it is being looked into

There will definitely still be a "general" how-to section, not only for the really general things (car cleaning tips) but for things that are cross-model, like for the MS3, MS6, and CX-7 which all share an engine/turbo setup.

I actually just recently (a couple weeks ago) dug through the how-to section and cleaned things up, editing all the thread titles to reflect which model the thread was for. I did this not only for the usefulness currently, but so that when the forum is reorganized it'll be that much easier to know which threads go where --don't even need to open them to know

thanks for the suggestion!
