VW bettles are fast!!!???

man i got the privilage to race in (i think was) a 2000 model wrx sti (jp) AWD
it had stock intercooler and turbo...... so i got to set up a race with a Bettle
and i got my @$$ handed to me. losing at 1 1/2 car lenghts.... i couldn't believe it
maybe i got shifters block or just slow shifting and a late jump

it was bad though

im pretty sur beetles are 4wd, also

FWD!
And the fastest ones come with a 1.8t (180HP)
Mild mods net decent power +30hp with chip. The most heavily modified ones can have up to 300hp thats about all though from the 1.8t.
It probubly took you out becuase the wrx is heavier and gets more drivetrain loss (alot more). How much power does a 2k wrx sti put down, 250?
You would have noticed a gigantic "turbo" badge on the back too.

its no lie, its not my car though (remember). maybe you should search for akitomoto (a street racing group produced by the owner 'alex'). i think they were in an article of IMPORT TUNER magazine not sure which month but it was last year. . i'm pretty sure this model had 180 hp? somewhere around it.

.... It had a giant fin on the rear, plus painted calipers.... man, I shoulda known I was SCREWED. Maybe I should have borrowed that Bugatti Atlantique from my good buddy Jay Leno to do the trick.

OMFG! Every thread I read today just keeps getting better and better. The line between ignorance and sarcasm has been blurred beyond my meager intuitive ability...
