thursday race after school

it is now 1:35 and i am in advance computer programing and there is going to be a race here in like 1 hour. Here are the cars,
my best friend 95 T-Bird auto (4.6 liter SOHC V8)with civic intake, cat- back, some 11 inche wide tires, and a 400 lb system. Then there is a kid next to me with a 96 dodge neon manual (2.0 SOHC Inline 4) with under drive pulleys, header, high flow cat, cat-back, intake, 25 shot of nos. well here in like 1 hour i will be back to tell everybody of the race.

peace

Well this is what happened,

pulled up the the stop light and got ready for the light to go green. GREEN the neon burns the tires and the T-Bird beeps as the tires do not break loss. Second gear the neon hits and you can tell that the Bird is going to win. Third gear in the neon and second in the bird he is gone. 4th gear in the neon and 3rd in the bird with the quarter running down the race is won by the T-Bird and goes to race another day.

well even thou this has nothing to do with a protege but i love to read racing stories so i had to post it.

P.S. the neon did not ran his nos. but he said if the kid in the bird wanted to race for money then he would use it. i think that if the neon would of used the nos then the race would of went to the line or would of been won by the neon. i want to race the kid in the neon when i get my car fixed. So when that happens then i will come back with hopfully good news.

There's a kid at my school driving a 2000 Dodge Neon 2.0 with the 3-speed automatic and a exhaust tip that wants to race me.

He said that he smoked a Focus SVT, but I know he's full of ****.

I should probably race him and humiliate him

i am sorry that i said nos and not nitrous.

KpaBap- i think that you should race the kid just to make him look
bad. it will be funny. but i don't know about the neons the one that raced today was fast. i know that the stock 91 lx would not win the race between the two. but if you think that you will win then go ahead.

First of all NOS is a brand of nitrous... if that was the brand of nitrous he had then it's fine to call it NOS. KpaBap I think you would win that race easy. A 3-speed automatic?? I've never heard of that from a newer car. Go ahead and race him and walk on him.

well the neon and the T-Bird raced again but this time with the 25shot of nitrous. this time the T-bird was on a 400lb diet and again the nitrous on the neon. well they stopped and light. turned the nitrous on( the way that the nitrous was set up was full throttle it went off) got ready. light went green the neon burned the tires and the bird really did not launch. the neon puts it into second and the bird gains. then the bird lights up the tires as the auto goes into second gear. with the neon front tires on the birds rear tire it was a dead race for a second. third gear in the neon and the bird gains...... gains some more .......... gains little more. Fouth in the neon and the race is lost.

that was the weekend race. at 4o am saturday night we made a g-tech run with it and it ran a 15.60 at mph 93.1 so that little neon had some ***** for a neon.

I just thought I would add my experience with the same type of Thunderbird. This one was a stick and had straight pipes to the side on it. Well to make a short story even shorter... I ate him up. That's also the night i f*cked up my motor. It was fun while it lasted... it will be back though.

Was that on the happy gas? If he's a decent driver he should be in the low 15s with those mods. Somewhere in the 14s on the gas. Maybe the G-Tech was off.

Just chiming in because 15.6 @ 93 is not really a neon with *****.
That's only .15 and 3 mph off my stock time.

KpaBab - Race the freak that said he beat an SVTF with his ATX. There's no way he won unless the Focus driver wasn't racing. My wife has a 2k Neon ATX and it's a dog (low 17s?). But to be fair pretty much all stock ATXs feel like dogs when you normally drive a MTX.

Yea I guess they can be good but it's still got the name Neon attached to it... I don't care if it's Batmoblie II, Neon makes me think of the slow beaters people drive around my hometown.

Thunderbirds aren't that fast unless is the turbo or supercharged version. My friend has 95 T-Bird and I always smoked him with my 89 Ford Probe GT. It had the 2.2 turbo...I really miss that car!!
