RSX Type S Versus .......

So I was trundling around in my cruisege with the sunroof open with chicky beside me and I pull up behind a black RSX-S at a light(slick looking except for the 16's, come on Acura!). Then what rolls up, a yellow Ducatti 748! (could have been an R or S not sure) WTF I says to my girlfriend, b/c you can't even buy ducati's in Saskatchewan, nearest is Calgary. Anywho, what shocked the hell out of me was the RSX started revving and egging this guy on. I hate cocky guys worse then anybody (they give the rest of us a bad name) and was giddy when I saw the Dukie driver look over.

Quick comparo:

RSX-S

Horsepower 200 hp @ 7400 rpm

Torque, SAE Net 142 lb.-ft. @ 6000 rpm

2767 lb curb weight

748 (plain jane)

71 kW - 97 HP @ 11000 rpm

Torque 73 Nm - 7.4 kgm @ 9000 rpm

196 kg - 432 lbs*

* = The weight includes battery, lubricants and, where applicable, cooling liquid.

So with no math, 748 has half the power and 1/4 the weight

That said, it was hilarious. Little whining four banger chirps tires off the line and the duke handed him his *** on a plate....badly. I mean it was like one and a half blocks and the bike throw the brakes on. Who the hell challenges a superbike? I have never seen someone that dumb before. Ahh, my ducati's..... I only wish it was a 998R......

That was even better than the R1 that catwalked for two blocks for me and buddies. Damn, bikes own us little bitch cars.

No doubt hey? My friend's first bike, an '81 Yamaha (forgot which one) that looked a little Harley-style even though it used to be a sports bike back in its day could beat most of the cars, and he payed 150$ for it.

let's not talk about his next two bikes, the '92 Yamaha YZF (I think that's the name??? really rare, only 25 in British Columbia) and the '96 Suzuki GSX-R 750cc
