Racing Capability
I was just wondering if there is any cars out
there that a 2nd gen pro can beat in a race.
I have a 96 pro auto and for it to only have
92 or so hp it's pretty quick. A friend has a 94 civic dx
and his seems kinda slow. But enyways, does anyone
out there have a 95 or 96 that has won a few races?

ya sup guys. I've raced a couple of times usually at Darlington International Dragstrip in Darlington, SC. I've only beat two cars so far, Ford ZX3 and a Chevy Xtreme. Unfortunately,my car is running 18.5s at the track with my friend Chevis driving. The best I've had was a 19.3. I'm thinking that This could have been caused by the flowmaster I had and the exhaust leak. I'm not sure if my slow times can also be in result of my gutted cat which takes out backpressure. I'm just wondering if anyone has raced in the track. I have a 1995 1.5l Protege and it's a stick. I've got the intakea s well. One thing about the intake. On the intake manifold there is a adjustment screw to control the Air/Fuel Mixture. I'm wondering where some of the people who have the intake has the screw set at. Either completely up (open) or completely down (closed) or in between. Well Let me know when you guys got a chance.

How is it that a 95 or 96 pro is a stick but
has a 1.5 engine? Didnt the stick come with a 1.6l?
Just curious because alot of ppl have been talking
about their 1.5's with sticks.
Also, like someone had stated before, mine says
special edition on the door jamb. What's that mean?

considering in the states that the only engines available are 1.8L in the se or es edition and the 1.5L in all other editions of the 95-96 protege that would explain why no one talks about 1.6L's cause they do'nt exist

Well as we all know, the ES models of the 2nd gen all come with the 1.8l's. To my knowledge, manual tranmissions can come with any edition. I've seen 1.5l's with automatic, one of my friends locally and one with manual... Me....
Stick = Manual Drive ..
