PR5 vs. Corsica

PR5 vs. Corsica
My friend has this beat up '94 Corsica, 155000 miles, 3.0L V6 (150hp?) automatic. I have an '03 Protege5 5speed with intake and exhaust.
My friend never really bragged about his car or said it would rape mine or anything, but he did have a tendency to show off just a little too much. Being the mature drive that I am I usually just slow down a bit and give him room to be crazy. But a couple nights ago, he started to go overboard. He'd slow down right in front of me, making me change lanes, then floor it and cut me off. There were 4 people in each car.
So finally we come up to a red light and he signals for me to move over and race him. Just as we get to the light it turns green. I slap it in first and floor it, immediately taking a carlength. By the end of second he's 2 or more carlengths back.
We come up to another red light and he starts bitching about how I knew it was going to turn green (some people say I have good reactions) and **** like that. I say fine and that I'd let him try again.
I rev it up to 3500rpm and drop the clutch when the light turns green. With lots of wheelspin and torquesteer, I leave him at my rear door. He doesn't drop back until he has to shift to 3rd, which is about a second before I do, and he starts fading fast. By 60mph he's 2 or 3 carslengths back.
Guess he won't be showing off much anymore

Glad you got him. When I had 400 miles on my P5 a Corsica pulled up beside me about 11:00 at night. He pulled ahead, dropped back, pulled even. I still don't know if he wanted to race or was just checking out my car . I thought about stomping on it and seeing what happened but I was thinking of the break-in period...and here I was minding my own business going about 60mph, listening to George Harrison's Brainwashed cd.
