My next kill

This maybe bad timing but, I've wanted to race a stock Si for some time. It's NOT a "win one for Mazda" type thing; rather it's for comparison. Seeing as how SCC mag compares every car they review to an Si or type R teg, I'd like to know where my car fits in.
That was reason #1.

Reason #2 is to cut through the BS. I've read stupid stuff like Si's can run 15.1 in stock form or 14s with an intake. Don't get me wrong, every group has it's moron (and I think I've played the fool on a few occasions ). But I want truth.

Reason #3 - and on more of a personal note

"yeah i joined the board hoping to find a place for some good info on the Protege, but so far the site has not impressed me one bit. whats funny is that over there i'm just one of the members so i can flame and be an ******* all i want. over here i try to take the more diplomatic approach to things"

Gok
-club Si messageboard

-If I lose, Si guys think they just beat another measley Protege but, if I win.... maybe statements like the one above won't occur.

****this is not intended to start a flame*****

dude, sounds to me like you want to start **** with me. in my statement i'm comparing the infomationt at i've found on this club compared to clubsi. you guys are just gettting off the ground but where is the really good info at? so far the only real helpful thing i've read is the faq (very good read) by theMan.
as for 1/4 mile times for the Si, did you not click on the link that i provided that had timeslips for the Si?
the last thing i wanted to happen was a flame war when i posted that link on clubsi. i wanted to see if the "friend" of blueprotege made any sense at all in his flames towards me. his incoherent babbling made no sense and he just seemed to not want to stay on topic which was a post about a 90 protege beating a civic Si. I have driven both extensively and I can say without a doubt that the Si will beat the Protege everytime.
Now it wasnt the Honda owners that dropped to the riceboy mentality of "well if we had the J-spec engine" crap, it was the guys from this forum. With exception of Eric, there wasnt anything posted but factual informantion from the Honda owners. Sure i've probably made some people mad here, but you know what.....its the ******* INTERNET. get the hell over it. If anyone wants to give me a chance then they will realize what I have to offer as a former Honda guy and a soon to be Mazda guy. I'm sure this post will get locked soon, but I've spoken my piece.

I frequent ClubSI to know that there are some awesome people there...I for sure hope that becuase of a few people here that this board is not thought to be immature... definately not as bad as 2k1civic.com. No need to start a flame war. I respect ClubSi, and hopefully there will be respect here as we come to age.

Hopefully this post will be closed too.

I completely agree

and that's why I want to race one. I don't go out and say, "duh, I wanna race a Geo Storm" or something like that. I respect that they're quick and it'd be a good test. I've seen posted timeslips but, who knows if these Si's have cams, i/h/e, or whatever. I want to race Jeremy D's pro (from a stop) and a stock Si or one with i/e only. I may have to switch my 17" rims for the stock 15".

Consider the fs-ze w/ ECU runs ~168 hp 130 tq in a car that weights as much as Si. This will come down to the driver and/or the power curves. I have no idea if the fs-ze has a wide/flat powerband or not. Probably the not, though. Until I get it dynoed, a race will be my only measuring stick.

I am only here to provide accurate Honda Information. I have no intentions on flamming anyone but since the Mazda owners here seem to compare every attribute of their Proteges to the Si, I figured it is my duty to provide you with the correct information for your comparison. I have not disrespected anyone nor do I intend to. Like I said I am only here to clear any misconceptions about the Honda Civic Si and other Honda products. No need to thank me I have some community service to work off anyway.

dude, no need to get high and mighty. your guys started the flames, we provided truthful information. here you go again getting all pissy. your own people called bs on the post along with us. then the honda bashing started. you are just as bad as the "80% of honda owners" you claim to hate. plus our site is way to big and has way too many topics to judge by a few threads. we've been around 2 years as clubSi and a year before that on the old yahoo club. over 23000 members with at least 50% being non-civic owners. We welcome with open arms those that have different vehicles and different opinions as long as they have something to contribute. An attitude that i see differs greatly from the one on this site. You guys dont know everything about everything so I would see it as benefitial to have others that dont own Protege here to provide informantion and education about others vehicle especially hondas/acuras. Buts its easy to lock yourselves away from the rest of the world and be blind to others of differnet opinions. As you can see i'm not just a honda enthuasist, i am a car enthuasist who just happens to be giving up a faster Honda, for a more practical just as good looking and handling Mazda.

my thread posted over on CSi wasnt inviting anyone to come here and flame, it was to see if blueprotege's friend (that was posting as him) flames towards me made any damn sense. yes so far this place hasnt helped me yet, and i stress YET.
1. i havent gotten the car
2. this site is still new
I spoke to jking earlier tonight about the whole situation and he is cool with me being here.

My friends didnt start **** that wasnt already started with me. I've posted to Eric that his comments did not make us Honda guys look good, and looking back at that post those were the only negative comments said from us. The rest of us posted information correcting Protege people misinformation about the Civic Si and Hondas in general. So please look back at that post and look at your own attitude toward the whole situation. Sure you can post that you beat this car or beat that car, but someone will disagree with you especially if there is the possibility of bullshit. As for you driving the majority of the popular hondas, thats great but you did not list the 99-00 Si which is a totally different animal from any other civic produced by honda. The two cars that were involved in that "kill" story I have driven both extensively and know the capabilities of both cars, therefore I felt extremely confidant that the Si would beat a 90 Protege.

PseudoRealityX- I totally agree with you. that is how i handle things over at clubSi for I am the moderator of the general forum and the florida forum. Anyone is welcome as long as they contribute, but I do not tolerate flaming trolls. Silock, RZR SHRP, and myself contributed information without having to resort to namecalling.

Honda guys

I'll probably send a few of you a PM asking a few questions. I'd like to keep it off the board because everyone wants to get their word in. So, check the "My Profile" link at the top of the page.
