Cool The Mustang Eater....

I just got my P5 out of the shop and my god is this thing FAST. I am currently running: Fidanza 9lb flywheel, Apexi N1 Exhaust (no secondary cat or resonator), Custom made CAI Intake, MazdaSpeed Engine Mounts, 2 bottle-75hp shot Nos dry setup, B&M Shifter, and a full interior....

Anyway. I was cruising around trying to find some honda to flex up on and I rolled up on this loud *** late model Mustang GT. He must of seen my Autometers or something because he started power-braking. The light turned green and I SMOKED him. It was so rad. Then he follows me onto an onramp and I change lanes and he goes for it.... and I'm thinking, "What a fagg." So I go for it right, got up beside/ behind him just nailing that shift light-screaming my poor lil motor and slam on my nos button. It was hilarious to see the frustration in this guys face watching him bounce up and down AS IF THAT HELPS or something. I must of hit the 140's, I was flying. It was great. Anyways.... He lost.

I will take some pics of my car/ setup and submit them. I will also submit track results. I'm hoping to hit 13.6 in the 1/4.

Sweet kill. At this pace you'll be taking on Vipers.

Angry Track timeslip

Well I ran the car yesterday, 14.4@93.5. Not what I was expecting. I need more power but I'm running out of options. It's still has to be a daily driver. I'm thinking about converting my 75hp dry shot into a direct port 100hp shot wet shot. My car definitly leans out when on the nos, I can feel it. But what else can I do without doing something extreme like adding a turbo.

Well if it's leaning out why don't you get bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump? Or is the ECU just scaling it back? You could get a haltech and probable tune 10whp out of your engine. They're not cheap, though.

100 shot on a 4 banger ur kinda pushing it dont u think? Ive heard 50 shot was safe. if i were u i would start saving for some serious mods (Turbo)and run 14.4 all the time without nos ..Jon 93lx

A) post your time slip
B)how can you FEEL the car running lean?

running lean

When I say that I "feel" the car run lean, I'm saying that when I'm on the button from about 3700rpm to 6k the power is great, but between 6k rpm and 7400 rpm the power seems to drop dramatically, and it's a known fact that if you are running over half your rated hp in a dry nitrous shot, you will run lean when on the button.

How much did the engine mounts, flywheel, and exhaust cost you? Just curious how much you put into the car. Thanks for your time!
