Muahahah!!! my P5 killed a focus!!

haha, guess what ladies and gentleman. Today i was racing a ford focus, it was a little fixed up. Ok so we started to race and it was mostly a straight so the focus started to pull away so we races for about half a mile and i was trailing not too far behind(maybe like 1 car length). And so anyways theres an s curve comin up followed immediatly by a hardcore s curce(10 mph speed limit). This is a 2 laned street. So i totally killed him on the s curves with my superb MP5 handling while he was left in the dust. It was so sweet. I took the first s cuve at about 60 with some screeching and the second S curve at almost 30(i was goin way too fast for that curve, it was pretty scary). And thats the life of racing in LA. I love racing in LA. Its the best. PEace..

I wasted a Focus last spring before I did anything to my car. I think the dude couldn't launch it properly or something, or they're just ******* slow.

Turned on the light for the focus

I was driving around in my new P5 about a week ago, me and 3 friends (4 people in the car) and I was at a light with a focus. It was a guy driving with his girl. I don't think he had anything done to it. The race lasted about a mile (b/c of traffic). I got the jump at the light then he came by (only like half a car) then I started catching back up, and we were basically dead even when we had to slow for cars. When we were next to each other I turned on my light and showed I had twice as much weight in my car!!! HAHAHA! The dude's face was almost in shock! I think he thought his focus was fast or something...I would've smoked him one on one.

focus sux.

Hahaha...you guys are funny!..hehehe...Good kill by the way..Its all good..i love the MP5 really a sweet lookin car..Ive killed my share of MP5's though..Through corners to...I have come to the conclusion that most of the Focus drivers cant drive at all..Im kinda thinkin you ran the SPI powered focus instead of the Zetec..Was it a ZX3 (hatchback) or was it a 4 door with 14in caps?....The MP5's that i have ran i usually put a good car length on them by the end of the intersection..but thats prolly cuz i got some work done to my focus and its BAD ...Oh well..Nice Kill!

End of the intersection? You sure the other guy was racing? If you wanna prove you're faster. . . take it to the track. No way to prove if someone left before the green at an intersection.

yes...they where racing..the one that i put the car length on initiated the race..i was just sittin there and he pulled up and revved so i got ready..I timed the light perfectly, waited for the oncoming turning lane to change red...dropped the clutch and by the end of the intersection i was a good car length ahead and he was on it cuz he reved it up waiting for the light to change and dumped the clutch and spun the tires off the line like i did...And it didnt matter if i had a jump on him (if i did) he wasnt catching me at all and he was losing ground...Most the MP5's ive ran havent been as bad as this one race but i havent been beat by one yet.

I've got a pro/con story about a Focus, but in the end, I was extremely impressed. I was driving home from a meet, and the road was pretty bad, so I had to take it easy (I can only fit 4 fingers under the front of my kit, so bumps kill me). Anyways, this stock but lowered Focus ZX3 pulls a ricer fly-by (which is the con) and then pull across the 4 lanes and exits... He was going about 150km/h and his car didn't lean an inch! I have never been so thuroughly impressed with the sight of a car handling. I want to know what kind of suspension the guy had and put it my car no matter what it takes!! I f I find out, I'll let you guys know. Does Focus susp. fit in the Pro? I knopw they share some stuff and ZX2 shocks fit my car, so...

Well to my knowledge focus suspension parts do not fit ZX2's, so it probably wont fit yours..............

Did you know??

I heard somewhere that new proteges will be based on the FOCUS platform.. can anybody confirm this?? This isn't really surprising as most mazdas are now ford equipped for example:

Mazda Tribute 2.0L = 2.0L ford zetec motor
Mazda Tribute 3.0L V6 = 3.0L v6 taurus motor

Mazda Bseries = You should already know the classic ford 4.0L v6

Mazda MPV 2.5Lv6=contrary to popular belief this engine is the Ford contour/mystique/cougar 2.5L v6 and not the mx6/probeGT

New MAZDA 6 = ford taurus 3.0L v6 with a mazda touch (variable valve timing giving it an extra 20hp)

I used to think that the 2.0L proteges were actually 2.0L ford focus engines but the rumour was not true, and the 2.0L engines are Fseries mazda motors..

yep..foci and proteges are about the same..same motors, 2.0 4cyl dual overhead cams...look at the focus wagon and the MP5 u will see the bodies are basically the same (window pillars and stuff)..same motors just a little weight difference between mine and a pro5.

To the best of my knowledge, the current Pro5 is not based on the focus platform. In 2003 I think, the pro5 and the focus will be the same platform. Let me know if I am misinformed.
