Just killed a CRX

Yup its 4 in de morning just got home, and i'm typing this to you.

I just got back from work, with 2 of my buddies, and we pull up to a light.
a crx to the right of us, on a 2 lane road... going out into the middle of nowhere. but there was a transport truck in front of him.. (in the right lane) he was staring us down like a ***** f*k*r!!!

so the lights go green, and we stay even up to the transport truck, going about 20kph, he goes behind me, and then when we pass the truck, he goes back into the right lane and he guns it... and about 1 sec later i push the pedal to the metal....

i pulled very slowly from him, shifting to second, then to third...I was very very slowly pulling away... I was pulling so slowly it almost looked like he was keeping up with me, then i shifted to forth, and i pulled away nicely from him. hit about 150 .... then he slowed down, and then i slowed down too.

we come upto red lights and he makes a right turn, but not before giving me a thumbs up.

I thought CRXs were pretty good. i know they are very light, and he had only him in the car, while i had my protege with me a 2 other friends in it

it all happened about an hour ago, at about 3AM ... now i'm tired, gonna goto sleep.

but i like the fact that i beat a CRX

Dude, I have a 1989 CRX SI. There is no way in hell you won that race. Even if the crx was an HF its just not gonna happen. I have a hella hopped up protege lx 99. It wont stay with the crx stock. All thats on the SI is a intake, exhaust, header. It pounds that protege *** eveytime with my wifey driving

A good friend of mine has a CRX HF, I love it, but it's slow as ****. He can drive, and I can beat him in my 323, and pull really hard on him in my Protege. If it were an Si, he'd be waving goodbye though. He's in the middle of a engine buildup, too... Guess I won't race him anymore, hehe...

i have a 91 lx and i raced a hf crx auto with a ricer wing and a exhuast maybe something else. it wasn't even funny i killed him. every gear i was in i pulled and so and so on. so i think that the FS- DE could be able to take the crx. but is sounds right if you had 2 people in the car and he had no one and he was next to you for some time. that sounds right, good kill.

I'm not trying to be an ***, but what do you have done to your protege? I can't see anything from the picture you included, except for a polished valve cover and colored vaccum lines, unless there is a hidden CAI there? I'm not trying to be a jerk, just curious?

Wow, that's quite a bit of stuff, all pretty much hidden Now that I look again, I guess I could have seen the braided lines in the engine bay being for nitrous. So you're saying with all those mods you still get ripped by your CRX? I knew they were quick, but not that quick!

Oh yea, do you have any pics of your wheels? Did you mean 15.5lbs each?????

No, thats an honest 5.5 lbs each. And my crx is a 1989 SI. Put a new engine in it a couple years ago, still the stock 1.6. Header, exhaust, intake. It doesnt rip the protege but it does walk.
This is the only one I got , ill post another one later.
