there are so many situations and theories to this race it is crazy......
im pretty sure he was a beginning driver mith a manuel vehichle
(but i doubt someone who just starts driving manuel, will buy a performance sports car)
and then he could have been messing with you
(but his car is a week old, it will not have its max potential at hand)
maybe the RX8 driver didn't know how to shift to get more RPM's to the gear (double clutch)
the race is 50/50
stocky vs. stocky (which is a *** kicking machine at heart, but can be beaten, not by all stock sedans though)
back when i put a race story of when i raced a suby agensted a vw, that same suby was bought new, and raced agenst my brothers old *** volvo, the volvo won, 4 weeks later, the volvo was killed by the same suby (we've known the owner for years, now he has a S2K)
i dont know if i can safely say this
but i think the RX8 driver probably didn't break in his car enough
FLYN BY you could have won (maybe by feet, inches, centimenters, milimeters, it is going to be unknown)

holy crap.....we have entered "fast and furious".
Yeah, the Rx8 needed to "doubleclutch" to get more rpms out of his whip yo.
p.s. RX8= low 14s car, 2.0L protege = mid 16s car. There is no way this would be a "50/50" race...

No, no, I'm definitely not claiming the win. I'm well aware that the Pro is an economy car at heart. It took me forever and 5 grand to make 100mph on I-10 today. It just seemed pecuilar that my slow car kept up.
