Have we fogotten the real meaning???
i have sat silent until now, but would like to convey to you all, my thoughts...
We have fogetten the real meaning behind getting into this hobby/sport/lifestyle. It's for a passion of cars, creating a custom and unique look, going fast and staying in control. If you go fast, you better be able to control it. Same goes for your attitude towards others in this hobby/sport/lifestyle. If you let your emotions go fast and out of control, you lose the focus and it becomes personal and nobody walks away the winner, b/c you already lost the second you lost control. (the spin out) It's about you and your car, not you against him, or your car agaisnt his. If you can learn this, the pleasure will be far greater than you ever imagined.
This is a bit deeper than i wanted, but i think you all get the picture. If we are to grow as a group then cool heads and mature minds must prevaile<sp> Not everybody will get along, and if you must agree to dis-agree, then be the better person and do so. This is not a personal forum to vent out frustrations, this is a public forum, with a many diverse crowd of people, all with opinions and attidues of thier own. It's easy to go off on ppl, your just typing on a screen, but for some of us it's deeper than that and we call places like this home, where we can talk to our friends about our cars read and learn about other people and their accomplishments. Help others just starting up the ranks and become a better person for doing so. It has a lot of meaning for me and i'd hate to see a good thing, go bad. And remember, this is not the street corner or basement you hang out in and your words float up and disappear, but a documneted and archived arena were millions of ppl can see and that we must be reminded of that each time those archives are looked at to get to the actual facts.
it comes down to basic commun sense and human decency, maturity and respect for others. I cannot speak for anyone but myself when i say, If you haven't found this in your life yet, then please go elsewhere.
