Got walked by "1.6L"
I hate people who decide to talk crap about my car.. I always hear, "dude you drive a protege they're the slowest 4cyls on the road." Well I told him what I had under my hood and that this wasn't an ordinary 03 ES and he said, "well ok lets race then." So I asked him what he had under the hood and he said ohh its the stock 99 1.6L 4.. Well jackass lied through his teeth... he had a 1.8 FS-ZE.. complete with mazdaspeed headers, B&M short shift and a Custom made GReddy Turbo!! As well as shootin 25 shot of nitrous express.. oh well I admit it, He wasn't kidding when he said I was slow. ahh.. well needless to say I got walked and even with my new blow off valve and down pipe I managed a 14.010@105... Whatever I still beat the punkass with the Jetta who was always ragging on how slow my 99 was.. whateva

Well I haven't been able to get up to Tampa to run it on the dyno but I'm guessing close to what the SRT-4 is putting out.. I'm guessing around 215 and about 230 pd ft of torque on the low side.. i'm hoping for more.. I'll find out now that it's summer and have some more money to waste..

care to explain what he attached the Greddy turbo to the Mazdaspeed header?

You seem to be pretty clueless about what his car had...I figure that'll correspond to what you know about your own car.

It's an older Mazda 2.0L i-4 engine used in overseas Capella's(626), and some other cars I don't remember.
Makes 170hp and 160lb/ft torque NA. Very impressive, especially the torque it makes.
Sometimes regarded as Mazda's SR20DE because of its square 86 x 86 bore and stroke like the and it's strong internals like the Nissan engine.
