The stickers.

oh ya, and I wouldnt give ANY car a run, especially if I only owned the car for a month (God knows what the mileage is on your car) The engine isn't even broken in yet. Furthermore, I wouldn't even waste my time on an si if i owned an msp.
And I wouldn't waste any money trading an si in for an msp.
Throw in a B16 or a B18 turbo and msp is no match.
170 hp isn't very impressive for a car with turbo. I can get 170 naturally aspirated with a nissan sentra se-r, 320 hp from a twin turbo 3000GT VR-4(remember that car guys?), an acura integra-not even a gsr or type r-an LS or RS(160 hp, less weight), a celica GT-S, Eclipse GST, or still even walk the msp with a 1st gen protege with the gtr/gtx swap. And the thing is, they all cost THOUSANDS less than the msp. You know how much I bought my 3000gt for? 4000 bucks.
Protege's just go downhill after the years.

Ya, I guess the Si-Rs in Canada just have stickers. But that's what the ownerships say.

ricerocket97 February-5th-2004 01:22 PM

if you are racing in a protege whare is the best shifting point so i can get as much speed out of it but not kill it?

Gen1GT February-5th-2004 05:53 PM

You're not going to kill it. Our engines were designed to rev. You could probably up the rev limiter to 8000rpm without problems. I'd say shift at redline. Personally, I shift at 7200rpm.

ricerocket97 February-6th-2004 10:16 AM

i have a 1.5 leter engine and if redlines at 6500rpm. so should i take to something like 5500rpm?

Gen1GT February-6th-2004 04:19 PM

Dude, take it to 6500. Don't be a wimp. Cars can handle their redlines, that's why people put it there.

proto 420 February-9th-2004 09:56 PM

I have recently beaten an rsx type-s and those are faster and have more torque than an si. And if you know how to drive you should have no problem beating both of them . At least I have no problem beating them

proto 420 February-9th-2004 10:00 PM

and civic sir's come from japan my buddy just got an 1993 eg6 sir civic right hand drive and those come with the 1.6 dohc vtec b16 motor and thats pretty fast . but i can still beat him

Gen1GT February-10th-2004 05:43 AM

Dude, I live in Canada, and they make Si-Rs here. BALEE-DAT
