Talking Cavaleir Bites the Dust

Just wanted to inform everyone that I raced by buddy at a stop light last weekend. He has a 1996 Cheve Cavaleir, and he got slaughtered by my beautiful 2002.5 Protege. Hah. He was talking **** the entire day about my car. So I was like, at the next light show me what your car can do! The light changes and within the first 5 seconds I'm a full car infront of him.

YAY!

Crapliers...good word play. If you race a everyday old 2.2L you might as well say that you won...they are slooooowww. The Z's with the 2.4 will give you a run for the money, but the 2001+ Z24's are easily beatable. They have 2.2L ECOTECH engines that rate at 140 CHP in 2900Lb car...do the math. lol

Last night I raced an older cav 3 times. Sounded like the V-6 model because the 2.8,3.1,etc have that distinct sound to them. I think it was a 2.8 though.
I hit the lights with him and didn't think anything of it, but when it turned green, he seemed to be accelerating pretty fast so I kept up with him for a bit and then hit it, then he really hit it too. Took him by about a carlength by the time we had to slow down for the next light. This time we both knew it was on, and we started revving, but again I was victorious. He was more of a challenge this time though finally we had to stop for the next light, looked over at him, and he was cool, we both gave each other props, and then hit it when the light turned green again.
This time he beat me off the line and I almost thought I was gonna go down but I kept it up and came out on top again.
We got caught at another light but he was turning left, and so while I was there I hit the horns, and looked over, we gave eachother the thumbs up and went our separate ways at the green.
