Not that automatics are trash but they are just boring to drive. But the only thing about autos is when you have a girl in the car because with manual you cant do **** you either focus and shift gears or you do stuff with the girl but with the auto you can do both simultaneously.

i remember driving my buddy's 96 infinity g20... sweet as hell, even flooring it, you could get a smooth shift out of the automatic. as was pointed out, i can't drive a manual that well at all, but after a while, just becomes second nature to you, and driving an automatic ain't so bad. and while you're in an auto protege, it might not always be the smoothest or the fastest, but it has some decent pick up to it. i distract myself so much when i drive (smoking, cell phone if i need to make a delivery to an unknown house, playing with the radio) and i drive one handed all the time... i never find myself bored in an automatic.. and besides, driving a manual in city traffic would drive me absolute bonkers. but we're all here to learn and share, to each his own ****, bugger off
peace

I got my MSP today (as I've already said a million times) and learning the stick is a pain when I am so used to auto.
