The fastest I ran with my Protege5 before I put in my chip waz a 16.9 with only a cheap performance muffler and an aftermarket filter.

Yeah, the newer Si's are slow compared to the previous generation. My buddy has a 99 Si with i/h/e, fuel rail, ignition and he just got rid of his 75 shot and he was running high 13's.
