I was just going to point that out.
The Mazda 3 is not the high performace 3, it is the top of the line up for now. The speed version will be out soon and then well see how it matches up with the turbos and the High Output motors of the rest. Until then your compairing your HO car to owr if you will luxury car! And we still hold up to you with it.
Better watch out, your post just might come back to bite you in the ***!!

I didnt bring any of these people here. **** i even made a SN on this board to try to get the the Honda V Mazda thing going on.
oh and a model that can match a MSP...hmm GSR, CTR, RSX,ITR, shall i go on? lol
I dont think my post will come back to bite me. I simply posted the truth. The mazda speed 3 should be great. I almost bought an MSP when they came out and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the handling of the MS Miata. Im not a mazda hater, but i cant stand for ignorance, specially when it deals with my car.
Anyway, well compare the New MS 3 to the 2006 Civic Si. That would be the fairest comparison

As far as what classes which car belongs to, I think it's a grey area. How do we classify these cars? according to price? size? power? maybe how many doors it has? It's a very grey area. IMO, I like to look at the prices and what people have paid for them.

The honda guys have no reason to be here other than to argue or "debate". We're not going to change your minds. You're not going to change ours. Why not just leave?? This is going NOWHERE.
p.s. what determines a cars class?? are you kidding me?? Thats like asking where the horn fluid goes. Heres a simple test for you...go to www.edmunds.com . click on a "catagory" of car like "compact"....look at the models that pop up... there's your class.

The Focus RS will still beat ANY Mazda3 stock for stock no matter what they do. Ford doesnt want Mazda to have all the advantages and compete with their favorite car.
As for the Civic the new 06 Si looks good but all in all i'd still choose my Focus RS over it and your "minivan" civic any day of the week.
Focus RS Cosworth will take any of your cars stock to stock also no comparison lil Mazda3 owner and minivan civic boys.

I guess the Mazda3 and the EP3 are in the same class as the COrvette coupe and the Aston Martin DB9.
The Civic TYpe-R is still being made. The Integra Type-R is still being made.
And why is this type of comparison arguing lame? We are not comparing the baddest honda against the baddest mazda. I thought we were orginally comparing your Mazda P5 and/or Mazda 3 to the Si. After all, look at the topic of this thread and look at the forum this thread belongs to.. again

no doubt.. the RS is baddass.. However, the 06 Si is not a hatchback.. the next Civic Type-R will probably debut next month at Geneva... and feature 250hp engine (so rumored).. and it will still be a hatch.

we have a long history of getting honda fanboys coming here and starting fights for no reason. If you guys aren't feeling real welcome there's a reason for it.
In all honesty this is a mazda forum and I could care less if a few random civic owners don't feel like we're being accepting of their l33t rides.

I don't care which car is better and what not, but I enjoy a little debate here and there. It gets the mind going and one can learn a few things too.

Actually this Forum isnt for argueing about honda VS mazda...it is here for us to talk about our cars and others...thats why the "HOnda people" have their forum...so tehy can talk about who ever they want to...if you want a forum you can do BLAH blah VS blah blah then go to www.carforums.com and then post ALLLL you want to and makes all the arguements you want on there....b/c this gets annoying...this thread has went OT soo fast ist not even funny... what Im trying to say is the same thing is being said over and over...and this is something dumb to sit there and "argue" over back and forth..

This Focus is no longer in the same 'class' with my P5 I can assure you.
