Is this going to apply for us 1.6 guys as well?

 

The manifold won't fit the 1.6, and with that the downpipe won't fit as well, but aside from that it could work.. wait no nevermind, basically just the turbo will work since whatever manifold you find will position the turbo differently, thus rendering the intercooler piping useless.

 

i got an idea for the next thread....WIN A NEW MAZDA3 TURBO SYSTEM...WAITING LOL

 

Here's an easy way to get a mazda 3 turbo cheap:

1) buy the biggest POS truck you can for $250

2) rear end the first mazdaspeed 3 you see. Once it's declared a write off, offer the guy $300 bucks for his turbo. Problem solved.

 

^^ take the whole engine.. that way you get the direct injection too

 

the manifold should technically fit the 1.6 seeing as the flanges are the same. i cannot guarantee it will work though.

customs must have stopped it - never know, one of 'em maybe drive a Mazda

 

It's canadian customs.. if one of them doesn't drive a 3rd gen protege themselves, I'm sure 75% of their friends do. I <3 canada for that
