Nice vids. How do you autox with the auto? do you put it in 1st, 2nd yourself or do you let it shift by itself?

I used to do the 1-2 shift manually, but now I just put it in D and turn off O/D and just drive

very handy when need to come out of very tight corners (auto downshift )

Thanks guys :-)
It's nice to know that u fellas see my car for what it is and not for what the badging says.

The first time i went autocrossing, i shifted from 1-2-D.... mostly in 1st. I hit the rev limiter (no big deal though... it just went..... vrooom-vroooom-vroooom until i let off gas or shift) in the straights 'cause i'm not used to shifting like that.

The videos on my page are from the latest (my 2nd autoX event)session and this time, i just left it in D with Overdrive off. It was MUCH better and easier overall.

One thing i liked about the first method was that i could brake, turn and just step on it and feel the car rushing to speed MUCH faster than when it's in D with O/D off.

Uhhhh.... yes I'm serious... many autox events you never get out of 2nd gear, who needs the car shifting up when you let off the gas for the corners? If you left it in D, as soon as you left off the gas, it would shift into 4th, then upon exiting the corner you'd have to wait for it to shift back down.
