Well, in stock form they are nothing more than an econobox.... But there are many modding possibilities, and it's low weight helps it handle excellently and have the possibitilty to be very quick... He bought it as a commuter car for now Mine is my project car.

yeah but it being auto kinda sucks some of the fun ,,not all though .. I have plans to drop a BP in it and also convert it to 5 speed ... wich should be a breeze.....
All motor is a good concept , but god I have to take a pic of the spave inbetween the bumper and the radiator ... can u say space for intercooler ,,, a big intercooler

my buddy, whos a mazda mechanic, has a 323 GT. Yup, a 32 GT! 1.8l DOHC (blueprinted) with tranny, 4-wheel cross drilled discs, mx3 control arms, mx3 cat-back, miata lightweight rims on Yoks, eibach/tokicos, and an air intake. Its in the CDN Lx body so it has all the power options too! I tell you what, this car goews like a bat out of hell. Absolutley no 'shift-lag- either, just constant acceleration!!!

Btw Bruce, I love how you 'Mericans get those automatic seatbelts instead of airbags! I love it. My old Escort GT had those (it came from Michigan)...I miss that little car (Complete cat-back with no resonator, Magnaflow high-flow cat and DTM muffler, air intake, clear corners, xenons all around, perf tires, gunmetal rims...YUMMMY!)

off topic: damn bruce, i didn't know you lived near manhattan. when i was in NY, i stayed at the manhattan sheraton. i'll prob be going back in a few months. maybe we'll be able to hang out. btw, i would NEVER want to drive in manhattan! our driver almost got us into several accidents to/from the airport.

on topic: that's a pretty sweet little 323 you got there bro.

Yeah I was going to mention coming down there to see ya , but lately my weekends have been pretty hectic. last weekend consisted of dropping a Integra transmission and changing the clutch (long storry, mazda's are much easier to pull down)..
