Phil's $13 Car Cam Mount *vid link inside*

Here's a camera mount I made w/just a trip to Home Depot. I have a Casio Exilim thin profile digi-cam...not included in the price.
1 - Aluminium box rod
1- 1/4" bolt
2 - 1/4" locking nuts
3 - 1/4" washers
1 - metal plate *big enough for your cam*
1- 1/4" butterfly nut

Pros:
It works
It's cheap

Cons:
Stability issues *easy fix, just need to add 1 more bolt and locking nut.

Ummm...just some other key notes:
Driver comfort comes FIRST..hence the location being the back seat.
rod runs the length of the top of the rear seat. 4 holes drilled to accomodate the headrest pillars.

Perfect for those who auto-x...since most have an aftermarket seat. As you can see, I was tired of "wedging" my reg camcorder under the head rest up front...plus no one could sit there.
Problem solved.

Well...alot do....and the up front location becomes an issue when you have ride-a-longs etc.
I'm sure other factors exist.

Seems like it would be very easy to make it more stable. I'm gonna MS paint up a new design real quick.

EDIT: K here it is. See watch think.
