The New Ride

Well since the protege has croaked(transaxle)

I've got a new ride now.

1993 Ford Ranger 4x4 ,V6 5speed(manual)
with barely 70K on the odometer.
The truck has only had two owners and I'm the second.
my stepfather bought the truck off the show room floor.
its in great condition(alot better than my pro) and had been taking care of.

I went from a 1.8l 4cylinder automatic car..
to a 4.0 Vy 5speed.

Honestly , I like this truck ALOT better than I do that car.
Now I've just gotta figure out what to do with this useless car in my yard..

...thats pretty much a given..
the thing is, I have no where to take it..
my parents keep telling me to try to sell it..
but no one is going to by a car with a screwed up transaxle.
this car would be decent for a parts car and probably nothing else unless one wants to go with the headache of replacing the t-axle.

Yeah
but I dont know how much I could sell the thing for.
I have no idea what it would be even worth..

I would just sell parts off of it.
but my parents want the whole car gone.

Just out of curiousity what did you do to the/your car?

And nice truck. (Still gonna be "ghettopro"?) I know it's been about a month since you got it or at least since you posted about it but I'm a little slow on the uptake!

I'm not really sure myself.
I was told it was something with the Trans-axle.
I was never raely clear on what it was .

and thanks

You should've gotten a B-Series....It's still a Mazda and is pretty much a Ranger!

Nah.
I like this one fine for one reason.
I didn't have to pay for it.
given to me.
so it was pretty simple.

I like it alot more than that car tho.
I thought I would but I don't miss it a bit.
I like having the torque and being 2 inchs from the ground was getting old.

I'd love to make a ramp out of the car.
but parents wont let me.
haha.

yeah, those are rangers with diff name.
I think they look like a cheap knock off tho.
but thats just me.

only thing I dont like about my truck compared to me old car.
car = 25 would fill it up..
truck = 30+.... =(
oh well, bigger tank, lasts longer.
haha.

"Best thing to get is a truck" everybody tells me. "Especially for work." And an extended cab at that! But a gift is the best one to get! What's your stepdad driving now?

He wanted to buy a truck with more hauling power.
b/c he has one of those large campers that you haul behind a truck.
he now has a chevy 1500, I think a 95 model, and he wanted something auto.
it has a 4.6ltr auto.
he likes it, so now his old truck, with only 75K something on it is mine.
and since im the 2nd owner the truck has ever seen, its in pretty good shape. alot better than my pro.lol.

his new truck is in good shape too, he is only the 2nd owner of it. so it all works out.

you should call my friend Doug Studdard of Bamachips.com. He does amazing Ranger stuff. His supercharged 4X4 4.0L ranger was killing SS camaro's and stuff with a 3" lift. He does some awesome tuning as well via superchipstuning and ford's own EEC.

plus he's local to me and I know him personally. He's a stand up guy.
