New design on Mazda Speed??????

I don't know if this has been posted earlier, but what the hell happened to the mp3/mazdaspeed design with this 2003.5 refresh. I'm not sure if I like it, though. Gotta see some differen angles, ya know?

I like the silver a lot better than the Orange and Black. What's funny is people are just barely getting their hands on the first MS Pros and now they announce a refresh...heh

I am not really sure about that picture, as it looks out of proportion to me. Though I still like the car. It seems that this one gets a new front and rear skirts, along with a new rear wing. Otherwise, it is the same. Not sure though, why the clear corners were not installed on this model

The thing I don't understand is why Mazda didn't use headlights with clearcorners such as the ones found on the P5 or the south-american/european models.

Mazda did not use Clear corners because The US DOT laws requires amber reflectors, i repeat, Reflectors, forward of the front wheel, on the sides of the bumpers. They can be anywhere, but car manufactures typically place them inside headlights or on the outer sides of the bumper. They are Federally required on all cars sold in USA and Canada. Mexico on the other hand does use them on some of their cars, but they are not required because mexico allows ECE (E-Code) vehicles in their country too.
Ok, but what about 2002.5 and 2003 model year Protege Sedan? The reflector that was in the headlight unit was replaced by a clear one (I guess it is not a reflector anymore), and no reflector was put on the bumper like on P5. That is why people are wondering why Mazda didn't use the same headlight units from the regular 2003 sedan, on the 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege.
Here is a pic of the 202.5 and 2003 sedan:

I have a 2002.5 and I see a 2002.5 in the pic. It has an amber reflector. Maybe you are thinking of clear side markers. Or that pic isnt "clear" enough for you. Check my pics out on the www at the bottom.

So, the people with P5s that have the wings west kit could get fined? the bumper does not have the amber turn signal thing.

OMG how long are they going to use to Pro 3rd gen platform for?
Back in the 90's most econocars have a new generation every 3-4 years. Are the 2004 going to be Protege's also or 3's?

And what happened to the fog lights on the new MSP?

I think the 2004 protege(mazda 3) will take the toyota route(ie: corolla) and implement ground effects. It'll basically look like an mp3/mazdaspeed. That's why they redesigned the mazdaspeed with the refresh. Mazda will make crazy money, and this is another reason why I'm gonna def wait on my mp3 conversion.
