Navy's New Program

As a sign that the Navy is sensitive to the cries for leniency and mercy as put forth by our leftist brothers, the US Navy will be implementing a new "catch and release" program in its war on terrorism. This new program targets smaller terrorist cells and fringe groups for the purposes of intelligence gathering. Once these small groups are captured and interrogated, they are then quickly released to go about their business, as seen here in this Navy photo....

btw....that happens to be the actual ship I was on while in the Navy....lol.

the STANDARD speed of an AIRCRAFT at the end of a modern days aircraft carrier is somewhere in the ballpark of 180-200 MPH.....keeping in mind that the catapults on that ship are only 180 feet long.....that is HOOKIN UP!!

as for the gravitational forces? I don't know how many G's that translates to...but deadly? hardly not....we shoot pilots off in aircraft like that all day long.

Actually, if an F-18, which is according to Road and Track December 2002 issue, weighs about 30,500 lbs in about 350 ft reaches 190 mph and puts out about 4g in 2-3 sconds time. Your P5 weight about 12 times less then that. So your take off speed would be about 2300 mph. That would make you officially 5 times quicker then a top-fuel dragster that does quarter miles at about 4-5 seconds each time. Therefore, you would have a 1 (ONE) second car, and not ten. I know this is dorky, but I find this funny as hell. BTW I am not making fun of any one, it is just a funny concept.

after that run, the P5 would look like the pre-riced supra.

"pop the hood!!"

I work down at PAX River in southern maryland every now and then. I test the fire sprinkler systems so on. I got to ride in an f18 before 911 off the catapault. The whiplash is so severe that the pilot and co pilot are knock out for a few seconds. the jets are controlled by computer or remote control.

If possible a stock protege would just fall apart. Also the force on the front of the car would be so harsh that it would deploy the airbags.

well....not really.....for this is basically how the catapult works.....

there is a large vessel which is filled with steam....and on that vessel there is a VERY FAST acting valve that opens with the push of a button....when that button is pushed the valve opens supplying that steam to the catapults pistons that shoot down a cylinder DRAGGING whatever is hooked up to it.....then it releases near the end.....BUT, its very controled....the HEAVIER the object hooked up...the more steam presure that is stored in the vessel for that launch....the LIGHTER....you put in less pressure.....each and every aircraft has a specified amount of presure associated with it...and its based on weight.....so you COULD hook up your p5...or any other car for that matter...but its not going to last long! lol for starters.....once you are tossed off the deck.....its a LONG way down to the water!!!! lol and I bet your P-5 don't float.....or fly!

That, and I doubt your P5 has aerodynamics that can support going at Mach 3 (thrice the speed of sound)... G forces would do a number on you too!

Come on now, that's what the "wings west" kit is for. They don't call it WINGS west kit for nothing, heck I'll even get a 2 foot spoiler, then we'll see how well it flies.

Damn stead of drag racing honda's i'll be racing f-16's SWEET!!!!
