Thumbs up tweeters

Hey JKing. Nice pics of the car!!! I was just wondering if i could maybe get some details of how you installed those tweeters in the plastic traingles by the side mirors. did you cut the plastic?? how did you secure it there and make it look so stock??? what about the crossover?? where did you locate it?? I am hoping to put a pioneer component set that i have, up front in my P5 but i am still deciding how i should do it. Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanx

Initial I have only seen two white pro5's Mine and a picture on the internet of another one. So I really dont know. Maybe they didnt make that many white ones.

As for installed the tweeters and crossover. The triangle plate pops off. I had to drill 3 holes. 2 holes hold the mounting braket in place with screws provided. Make sure you drill them at the correct size or it wont hold. The third hole was to run the speaker wire to. I ran the speaker wire behind the door panel and it comes out into the 'pocket' at the bottom of the door. I ran the tweeter, mid, and input wire all to the 'pocket'. My crossovers came with this nylon stripping which is kind of like two sided tape. I hooked all wires up to the crossover then stuck it on the inside of the pocket. DO NOT PLACE CROSSOVER INSIDE OF DOOR it gets wet in there. I hope I answered all your questions.

I'm sure you could get those triangle pieces through the parts department of your dealer. I cant imagine them being very expensive. I would buy a extra set of the triangle plates then when your lease is up replace them. That is the only spot you have to drill

not bad

not a bad idea. i will check out the price of the triangles on monday. Hopefully they wont be that expensive. The only problem now is where to put the crossover. Originally i was thinking i would just leave it inside the door. But apparantley it gets wet and there and i dont want the crossover gettin wet and shorting something out. So where do you think i could put the crossover?? i havent actually had the door panel off myself yet so i dont know exactly what it is like in there.

put it where i put mine, the 'pocket' at the bottom of the door you can fit the wires through the edge so there is no drilling. mount the crossover with 2 sided tape

When you end up taking the panel off on the back side of the panel you will see the pocket. The pocket is a seperate piece that is stuck to the door panel. Where the two pieces meet there is leway so you can put the speaker wires through. Tomorrow I will try to get some pictures.

If you are looking at your front door. And you look at the bottom you'll see your speaker right next to that is the 'pocket' 'cubby hole' whatever you wanna call it.
