My Mazda

Happy Easter everyone! Here's a few pics of my Mazda! Just got new registration and seasonal tags and insurance so it's time to cruise again! Peace out to all Mazda fans everywhere!!

It's not perfect, but it's in great shape for having almost 100,000 on the odo and being an 89'!

Mods/Work Done (keeping is fairly basic so far):

Corksport Turbo-Back (no cats) Exhaust (3.15")
Banzai Racing TID (Discontinued)
13B-REW (FD) Fuel Pump
Turbo XS BOV
ACT Street/Strip Clutch
ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate
Magnecore Wires
using 20W-50 motor oil, fully synthetic gear oil in trans/rear end
has 245-50-16's tires in back (as apposed to stock 205-55-16
Front Strut Brace (don't know brand)
Headlight Conversion Bulbs (but no HID kit yet, only has fake HID right now)
HKS Turbo Timer
Autometer Phantom Air/Fuel and Boost guages mounted in dual a-pillar pod
Ric Gillis Boostvalve manual boost controller (off for the moment however)

I really want to work on the suspension at this point, it is all still OEM.

Probably forgetting a few other things, but all in all it's in great shape I love it and it's pretty fast. Eventually I'd like to get a Protege or a Mazda 3 to replace the Ford Probe as the daily driver.. you can somewhat see it in the pics too.

Yes, well they do sound much different than a piston engine. Some say that they sound like an airplane engine.. lol.. some say a lawnmower, you'll just have to find some rotary videos on the internet to see what they sound like. I think it sounds like a really pissed of two-stroke of some sort.. that gets REALLY loud when you open it up.. even smells like a two stroke.. heh..

hahaha
that could be fun if you had neighbors you didnt like, just wind it up beside their house when they are trying to sleep.
haha

there was a newer RX-7 around my town a while back, it had a lower pitch than what I would expect but who knows, maybe he had a quiet exhaust.

i ditched the carb motor idea....added up too quickly for too little power.

new engine going in soon but I'll wait till I have it in hand before letting the cat out of the bag.

hyundai is on the come up! They are the only automaker in the US right now to not have a month down in sales. They are always growing.

Also, about a year ago or so Hyundai actually had fewer problems per thousand than Toyota placing it at the top of the "most reliable" list.

Hey thanks egg.. yeah those are pretty much the parts cars for a buddy and me.. one's got about 150,000 motor still runs good (who knows how much longer), the other has about 95k starts/runs beautifully.. the bodys are messed up on both, so we just sell parts on ebay or putting them into our cars if we need them. We are thinking about taking both vehicles best parts, fixing the body on one, and basically making 1 out of 2. They are both S4 (86-88) turbos. My car is an S5 so I wouldnt benefit much from them except some body/interior parts and some electronics.

Cool, I think you will like it, I've driven many of them and I like them. Don't know if I enjoy driving the RX-8 or the MS6 more though.

The car is currently in the teardown process. I am removing more emmisions and fixing a few small items in the process. Also gonna add a few goodies in the process. Should be decent, and about where I want it when I am done, but it may take a few months. (hopefully not too much of the summer)
