Like Danny said, by the time you're 18, you car will be true show material. It looks good already to me.

Here is a quick photochop I did to pass the time.

<--- 16 right chere, buddy (and not too proud of it). I'll consider myself lucky to have a nice car at such an early age, but being an '03 I'd say mine isn't in that good of condition because my mom doesn't know how to drive and ot's pissin me off. If I could sell it and get some money I'd do it in a heartbeat. The front passenger fender is all scratched up, there's dents and scratches in the doors, the cupholders and shift **** are sticky as hell, there are cigarette burns in the roof, seats, and floor mats, and there's a couple holes in the cieling where one of my friends tried to screw in a neone light without me knowing, then ******* it up. I hate my car right now, sorry to say. It's ghettp as hell and our family is dead broke. I can't get a job (dunno why, I've tried 30 different places in the past month), my mom has a crappy job, and my dad doesn't have a job. our monthly bills total up to like $1,500 or something like that (don't know at all, just a guess), and our monthly income totals up to something like $1,000.

We'd sell our Protege, but we only have two cars and we need both because I need to go to school, my mom needs to go to work, and my dad needs a car to look for a job in. Shouldn't be soon before it gets repossessed. We had to have a garage sale just to make the car payment last month.

My life is in ruins...also shouldn't be soon before we lose our house and I'll either have to live with a friend while my parents move to Garland, TX with my grandparents, or I'll have to start my junior year at a new school, with no friends.

I've prayed many many times that something will happen, but God hasn't responded yet...

As a matter of fact, our water was shut off today because we can't scrounge up $113 for the payment. I can't take a shower tonight, can't have a glass of water, can't even flush the damn toilet.

I've suggested welfare, but my dad doesn't think we'd qualify.

I'm sorry about bitching here...it's just I don't have anyone to talk to and this is my only way of letting out my true feelings..... I better go before I start to get too personal.

Sorry to hear about all that man. I know I am fortunate to have this car even though I had to invest a lot to fix it (computer, brakes, spark plugs, wires, air flow meter, etc.) It too was handed down to me and has some cigarrete burns, scratches, but its all a work in progress. My family went through a 'crisis' like that as well and I know how you feel. My mom lost her job though so it was kinda the other way around. You know all of us here at protegeclub will pray for you and wish the best for you. Good luck and be strong.

Hey Nigaud, I understand your feelings.

I would suggest trying welfare, since you may qualify. You never know until you try.

You can get your dad and mom to ask their siblings for some help in the meantime, until your family becomes more financially stable. I'm sure they are willing to help.

Sometimes you just have to be optimistic, and once you do that, you can find the exit and make it through.

Wish you the best of luck.

Thank you for all the kind words. My Mom's siblings won't give us sht, and my dad has borrowed thousands of dollars from his parents, his sister, his friends, our church, etc. etc.

I kinda wish I could do some stuff to my 240sx, but it needs a new clutch, brake job, and an engine overhaul, so there's no point.

There are lots of jobs out there, not to discount your situation but there are a lot of jobs available, they might not be glamourous but they are out there.

Yes, I(we) know. both my dad and I have tried to get jobs any and everywhere. My dad is a computer programmer, but yet he is now going to be a prison security guard. Big difference, eh?

Check out my post in the main Protege section.
