How's my engine look?

This is my first poll so sorry if I screw it up. Anyhow...

I started out with all yellow and my short ram was yellow ,but when I got the Injen CAI it only came in red. I tried to compensate by painting the manifold cover. What do you think and do you have any suggestions.

I haven't really thought about my valve cover. If I take it off to do anything I know I'm gonna want to cam it up. I've got the whole summer to go. Right now I think I'm just gonna take some SOS to it and keep it clean.

I personally don't like the sillicone wire cover things, but hey I guess I'm a boring guy.

I think it looks good however, a black valve cover would look nice.

I too, have never liked the wire coverings but, hey to each their own. I would still do things in yellow to match the strut bar. I would remove the wire looms and put the heat shield back to the original color. Then paint only the letters on the engine. But, I'm into subtlety, that's me. Otherwise, you're trying.

I was thinking of pulling the color off the wires, but like an idiot I paid extra for that "feature". This is my first attempt at engine dressing, and like 90210brandon said, I'm trying. I'm reluctant to take the heat shield back to bare metal 'cause when I was prepping it there was already quite a bit of rust for its age. I painted the underside of the shield white so I could give it future inspections. We'll see how it goes.

Just take the heat shield off . Keep the valve cover the same color, I would go with a black under the hood. Gloss Black will be hard to locate leaks etc but will look good if done right. Satin Black, my personal favorite, will show any leaks and be rough to take care of, when done right and taken care of right it looks 100x better than any color. Thats just my opinion though, my .02 cents vary, depends on the strengh of the Yen, im not quite sure .

I say keep it one color like you started with the red. Swap out the plastic wire covers with red, paint the strut bar to match, replace some of the rubber hoses with red silicone one (not just the plastic covers) and last but not least polish the valve cover to match the intake tube.

Just my 2c

Dont get me wrong I like it but it would look even better if you kept only one color. red and yellow dont go in my opinion but everybody has a different opinion and I respect what you did if you like it thats is all that matters. Keep up the good work.

not a fan of all that color loom and stuff, just to ricey ..
you really want that engine bay to bling..
get your valve cover and manifold cover chromed ,,...
then it will look sweet, and match any color intake you throw in there ...
PLus with the color of you car ,, the colorful wire loom does not really match well...

I would have gone all yellow. But like other here...each to his own, if you like then don't change a thing. Atleast your putting some $$ into it and you can tell.
