holy cow....

Believe it or not, I installed my new rims myself today...and it's one of the hardest and most exhausting things I've ever done, second only to giving birth. I thought I'll celebrate by taking a few pictures of my ride with the new shoes and the Mazda bodykit.

I know it needs to be lowered, but I'm happy with the way it is. Besides, it's a commuter car for me. But I may change my mind later

I think the Protege really needs the kit for it to look good. It's totally a different car with the kit.

Sorry, no performance parts. Can't afford it after getting the rims.

Thanks to everybody on this forum for the inspiration and the help!

Thumbs up

That is nice, good choice on the rims and it looks good to me already but if you are going to lower it, it will look even better.

Hmmm, already looks kind of low for stock suspension. The car looks great w/ those wheels.

Very nice, sisbliss. I'm envious. I thought about putting that sedan front lip on, but I don't have the money. Anyway, I think you should paint the black plastic front grille piece to top off your kit. Then it would look even better. Good job.

Edit: Also, tinting those windows would make your car look amazing with those wheels. DAmnn.

Bad A$$ wheels!! I've been looking around and taking notice of everyone on this board on their choices of wheels... I think those are one of the best looking sets on a silver car..

btw - what are they???

Those are 17" Motegi FF6 Gunmental. I think it's the contrast between the dark spokes and the silver lip that make it look kickass. I love that look on a silver car ever since I saw the SSR Competition wheels. Funny enough...when I stopped in that parking lot to take those pictures, another car in the lot had the same exact Motegis in silver.

My windows are tinted 35% but that's net in MD. I always wish my tint were darker, but I'm too wimpy.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

WOW, super clean. I'm jealous... With a quick glance it almost looks like a BMW or something. IMO, it doesn't need to be lowered. But do what you want to.

I agree about the BMW look. I think its because of the amber reflector though.

Very sweet look it has. If you go with a kit any time soon I'd be extremely serious about buying your side sills and rear skirt (providing yours is silver mica).

Nice choice of wheels
