Im not knocking anyones car, in fact i love alot of the cars I see here. The problem I have is labeling something its not. No matter how much you do to your car to make it another car, it still isnt that car.

Peoples egos get hurt when theyre put in a corner and confronted with something they dont want to accept. In this case, people are going to extreams by saying Jeremy has basicly done everything humanly possible to convert his car to the familia, so his car is the familia. NO it's NOT the familia. If what im saying is not the case, Jeremys car would be called(sticker on the car) what it is.

So would it be better if he put the Sport20 badge on it... and added a disclaimer on the side of his car saying : " This is not an imported Sport20. This car has been modified to replicate a Sport20. Please do not confuse this for a real Sport20 because I don't want to be called a liar."

Would that satisfy you? I understand why someone would hate it when you see a GSR badge on a Civic.. or a Vtec sticker on a Civic DX... but this guy has gone through lots of time and effort to actually put in Sport20 parts... so LAY OFF OF HIM. You stated your opinion with some wrong facts... then you got flamed for them (deserved it) ... now you're STILL trying to argue??

If I had a Nissan 240SX and I put in a SR20DET engine with the supporting front facia and rear parts of a S15 Silvia, I will call my car a Silvia. And any ****** like yourself who is jealous will just have to live with it.

you know, you could have just let it go at the close of the other thread. but if you really want people to tell you how much of an idiot you are, then... i guess another thread will have to do. see, i think the problem with you is that you have not done your homework on your cars. once you do, then you can talk. otherwise, people will continue to rip you a new *******.

but anyway... this whole painting your skin or whatever... ummm... sure . see, in your analogy, it would be like making a protege into a civic and calling it a civic. this is exactly what is NOT happening. what has happened, though, is jeremy has taken the time to put genuine parts from japan onto his car. in fact, this is like changing the genetic coding, if you want to go in that direction. his engine is exactly the one they put on proteges in japan. no longer can he simply go down to an american dealership for warranty repair or for parts. so now i ask you, how is it not a jspec car?

The two cars are very similar , if not almost the same, there is nothing wrong with the man doing the swap , and calling his car what he wants to ... why is this even a topic, u know this should be in off topic right ....
